6 yrs on, Safapora still part of Bandipora
Safapora (Lar) Jan 15: Residents of Safapora in Lar tehsil on Tuesday said that despite their area being attached with newly created Ganderbal district six years ago they are forced to approach a number of offices in Bandipora district for various needs.
According to the residents when Ganderbal and Bandipora were given district status, Safapora, which earlier was a part of Bandipora, was attached with district Ganderbal. “We are still being told by the authorities to approach government offices in Bandipora district,” they added.
Resident said that Safapora area is near to Ganderbal. “Our repeated representations to get the records of Safapora shifted to Ganderbal have failed to move the authorities,” they alleged.
Despite several attempts Divisional Commissioner Kashmir could not be contacted fro the comment.
