HPCL Pampore holds health camp

Srinagar, Jan 15: HPCL Pampore plant today organized a free health camp for truck operators.
The company said the health checks of truck operators were essential because “the truck operators involve long and irregular working hours, remain confined to steering with concentration on road, lack of exercise.”
“A healthy driver is a safe driver. As a socially responsible corporate entity it is our endeavor to ensure medical check up for our truck crew and also educate them about the importance of their health to ensure road safety.”
The truck operators were checked for eye sight, blood sugar, CBC, cholesterol, ECG, Audiometry followed by medical consultation by general physician. In addition spectacles will be given free of cost to truck operators suffering vision deficiency.”
The drivers hailed the step and showed great enthusiasm towards the program, the company in a statement said.
