TAFCUB meet held

Jammu: Jan 18: State Level Task Force on Co-operative Urban Banks (TAFCUB) today held its 11th meeting at RBI Jammu under the chairmanship of K K Saraf, Regional Director for J&K and Sudershan Sharma, Registrar, Co-Chairman.
 Muhammad Akbar Ganai, Special Secretary Co-operative Department J&K, Riyaz Ahmed, Joint Registrar (B&F), Cooperative Societies, J&K, Subhash Gupta, Chief Executive, NAFCUB; D.S. Rana, DGM, RBI, Ashok Goswamy, CEO, Citizens’ Co-operative Bank Ltd., Jammu, Rakesh Sharma, CEO, Devika Urban Cooperative Bank Ltd, Udhampur, M.A. Sofal, CEO, Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd, Islamabad (Anantnag) and A.M. Dar, CEO, Kashmir Mercantile Cooperative Bank Ltd.  Sopore attended the meeting.
 The financial position of the Urban Co-operative Banks functioning in Jammu and Kashmir for the quarters September, 2012 and December, 2012 was reviewed. The Chairman stresses upon the banks to reduce the level of NPAs, effect more recoveries in the loans assets and control operational expenses to maximize their profitability, a statement here said.
