JKCCC appeals CM
Srinagar, Jan 1: J&K Contractors’ Coordination Committee today sought intervention of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, to redress the problems of PMGSY contractors.
“The attitude of the PMGSY department is forcing contractors to stop all ongoing works. We appeal the CM to intervene and redress the problems of the contactors.” GKNN
`20 lakh goods traded across LoC
Poonch (J&K), Jan 1: Goods worth over Rs 20 lakh were traded across the Line of Control (LoC) today between PaK and Jammu and Kashmir at Chakan-Da-Bagh crossing point here, officials said.
As many as six trucks rolled out from the Trade Facilitation Centre (TFC) here to PaK, they said, adding, these trucks carried bags of garlic and tomatoes worth Rs 7,09,300.
From PaK, three trucks carrying bags of dry dates and walnuts worth Rs 13,84,000 entered India, they said.
Officials from both sides monitored transportation of these goods twice during the day.
