PDD casual labours call off strike

Srinagar: The Power Development Department casual labour union today called off their strike following the assurances by the Minister of State for Power, Vaqir Rasool.
 According to a press statement, a delegation of Casual labour union called upon the MoS and apprised him about the problems being faced by the casual labors. 
 “The MoS assured the delegation that he will deliberate upon the issue and will redress their problems. Later in the meeting union decided to call off their strike in view of the assurances and current situation arising due to snowfall.” 
 However, the union has decided to give time to the state government till Jan 28 .
