Khan felicitated
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Jan 20: Kashmir Hotmix Plant Owners’ Association has felicitated Abdul Majeed Wani on his taking over as minister for PWD.
President, KHPOA, Bashir Ahmad Khan, in a statement while hailing the appointment of Wani as minister for PWD, said the association had great expectations with him.
Khan said a whopping over Rs 1000 crore liability was pending in various engineering departments on account of works carried out by the contractors. “The taking over of the charge of the ministry by Khan has created a ray of hope for us,” he said, adding that they expected that the minister would issue directions to the agencies concerned to clear the liabilities forthwith.
He added: “The office bearers of the Association as well as the J&K Contractors’ Coordination Committee do hope that the minister will take up the mater of funds with the Planning and Finance departments so that the next works programme of 2012-2013 could be executed by the contractors/firms without any difficulty.”
