Kamaal’s plebiscite remark political gimmick: Er Rashid
Srinagar: Terming as a ‘political gimmick’ the statement of the National Conference (NC) Additional General Secretary, Dr Mustafa Kamaal, wherein he had urged Government of India to fulfill its promises of holding plebiscite in the state, the MLA Langate Er Rashid on Monday said the statement had exposed dual face of the NC. “If Mustafa Kamal really means in that what he has said then he must answer as to why his party in general and he in particular did not support me in the assembly in the last session when I demanded that the genuine way to resolve Jammu and Kashmir dispute is to hold plebiscite by implementing UN resolution,” he said. He reminded Dr Kamal that if holding of plebiscite is solution to Kashmir then why NC took the lead in assembly in lashing out at him and labeled him as anti-national element.
