Jamiat Ulema-i-Hind for follow up action on Shinde's statement
SAFFRON TERROR
ANIL ANAND
New Delhi, Jan 23: Jamiat Ulema-i-Hind has described Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde's statement about involvement of BJP-RSS members in fomenting terror activities as ‘sensitive’ and has demanded that a thorough follow up action should be taken against those involved in these heinous crimes.
Reacting to Shinde's statement, General Secretary JUH Maulana Mahmood Madani said that the statement should also be followed up with a course correction to provide justice to those Muslim youth who had been wrongfully arrested and held responsible for the acts of terrorism to be later found innocent. “If Home Minister is sincere he should initiate action against those police officials who have arrested and send behind bars many innocent Muslims on false ground. He should start due process to set free many innocent Muslim youth who have been implicated in terror cases about which Mr Shinde now believes to be the handiwork of saffron forces,” he said.
