Qureshi Mohalla inhabitants appeal CE PDD
‘Charge us according to meter readings’
Srinagar, Jan 23: Inhabitants of Qureshi Mohalla Baghwanpora in Lal Bazar locality here have demanded electricity bills according to meter readings.
A delegation from the area said that from past few months they have been receiving random electricity bills. “Despite installation of meters, we are not charged according to its readings. We apprised the concerned PDD officials about the issue many times but they did not take any action. We appeal the Chief Engineer PDD to look into the matter,” it said.
Man dies in road mishap at Bemina
Srinagar, Jan 23: A man died in a road mishap at Bemina locality here on Wednesday.
A police spokesman in a statement said a Maruti Car bearing registration number JK09/2949 hit and injured a 26-year old pedestrian Nazir Ahmad Malik son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Gund Prang Hajan at Bemina.
The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar, for treatment, where he succumbed his injuries, police said. Police has registered a case and taken up investigation.
