TECHNICIAN HELD FOR HARASSING LADY DOCTOR

Srinagar, Jan 24: Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a person allegedly for harassing a lady doctor at Gousia Hospital Khanyar in Shaher-e-Khaas.
Superintendent of north City Tahir Saleem Khan said acting on a complaint by the lady doctor, 34-year-old man was arrested by Khanyar Police at Gousia Hospital Khanyar.
“Preliminary investigation by SHO Khanyar Rashid Ahmad revealed that the accused who works as a X-ray technician has been harassing the lady doctor for a long time which compelled her to lodge an FIR at Khanyar police station,” the SP said.
A FIR vide No. 06/2013 under section 294 RPC has been registered at police station Khanyar.
“Police stations of North zone are open to entertain such complaints and take action against the accused according to the law,” the SP said.
