BAZAZ HAILS VERMA PANEL

Jammu, Jan 27: Chief of the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum (JKDF) Pandit Bhushan Bazaz has welcomed the recommendations of the panel led by former Chief Justice of India JS Verma seeking review of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in Jammu and Kashmir and north-eastern states.
 “The calls for review of the AFSPA are welcome. This is a ‘lawless law’ that is only increasing frustrations and sufferings among people in the areas of conflict. The JKDF has consistently demanded the repeal of this legislation.”
