Milad processions held
BRAVING COLD, THOUSANDS OF DEVOTEES PARTICIPATE IN NISHAT MARCH

Srinagar, Jan 27: Braving bone-chilling cold, thousands of devotees on Sunday participated in processions organized in connection with the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrations.
Main procession was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Dawat-e-Minhaj-ul-Islam at Nishat. The procession started from Eidgah Darbar-e-Bagdadiya Dharbagh Harwan at 10:00 am. The procession passed through Theed Harwan, Chandpora, Arabal, Shalimar, Ishbar, Nishat, Syed Rehmaniya (RA) Bazar and culminated at Alamdar Park Brein Nishat.
Apart from others scholars Molvi Mir Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Naqeeb addressed the devotees. Naqeeb stressed upon the people to follow the footsteps of Prophet, Muhammad (SAW). He also prayed for peace and prosperity of people.
The other organizations which participated in the celebration included Hayat –un- Nabi (SAW) Trust, Zahoor-ul-Islam, Dawat-e-Islamiya, Imam-e-Hussain(AS) Blood Bank, Al Mehdi (AS) Trust, Al Zehra Trust, Lashker-e-Medhi (AS) Barij Harwan, Idihara Auqaf Imamiya Aliabad Shalimar, Imamiya Trust Aliabad Shalimar and others organizations.
Cutting across respective ideologies, both Shias and Sunnis participated in the mega event.
The volunteers were busy preparing Haldi Rice (Tehri), Namkeen Tea and Kehwa even as their colleagues served devotees these preparations.
Jammu and Kashmir Dawat-e-Minhaj-ul-Islam has hailed the district administration, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Traffic Police, and other organizations for providing requisite assistance to make the event successful.
Meanwhile Milad processions were also held in various areas of Srinagar including Barbarshah, Zadibal and Khayam.
