‘USE FUNDS JUDICIOUSLY’
Srinagar, Jan 2: The Minister for Rural Development, Ali Muhammad Sagar chaired the governing body meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) of Government Gousia Hospital Khanyar and NT-PHC Miskeen Bagh.
On the occasion the Minister was apprised about the functioning and performance of these institutions.
Sagar stressed upon the governing body members to put in their efforts for further improvement in these hospitals. “Funds should be utilized judiciously so that the people of Shahar-e-Khass can take benefit of healthcare facilities,” Sagar said.
He also took stock of other renovation works and directed authorities to take necessary steps for upgrading the infrastructure, and fencing of the premises.
Minister was informed that last year about 1.5 lakh people suffering from different diseases were treated at Gousia Hospital. He was apprised that 700 surgeries, 400 deliveries, 28000 different diagnostic tests, 2000 Ultra sound test, 5000 X-rays and 3000 ECG tests were conducted besides 8000 children were immunized during the period.
Sagar stressed upon the medical and paramedical staff to provide better healthcare facilities to the needy people of the area.
The meeting was informed that nearly Rs. 20 lakhs were collected as revenue during last year at Gousia Hospital Khanyar.
