Fraudster held at Maharaj Gunj

Srinagar, Jan 29: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a person while allegedly trying to sell some fake ornaments in Maharaj Gunj area in Shaher-e-Khaas here.
Superintendent of north City Tahir Saleem Khan said the accused has been identified as Abdul Hameed Lone of Khaipora Tangmarg. “He was arrested when he tried to cheat some people by selling fake gold at cheap rates,” the SP said. The SP said upon search about 270 grams of gold plated brass bar was recovered from his possession.
He said a case vide FIR No 04/2013 under section 420 RPC has been registered against the accused at Police station Maharaj Gunj.
