Taj visits GMC, associated hospitals
Srinagar, Jan 29: Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Taj Mohi-ud-Din today visited Government Medical College, Srinagar and its associated hospitals to take an on the spot assessment of their functioning.
This was the first visit of the Minister to these hospitals since he took over as the Minister for Medical Education.
On the occasion, the Minister directed computerization of all the departments and linkage of all HoDs with the Drug store so that patients don’t feel any inconvenience.
The Minister directed giving a facelift to wards, theatres, toilets, main corridors to ensure cleanliness at the hospital.
He asked the medical superintendents to assert themselves and ensure that patients are facilitated at every level.
Later, the Minister took a detailed meeting of HoDs, faculty and medical superintendents. “You must work with zeal and dedication. You should cooperate with the government in giving the healthcare a turn around so that the patients are attended in a better and professional way,” the Minister told the doctors.
