Budgam farmers go on study tour

Budgam, Jan 30: A group of 45 farmers of district Budgum went on a 10-day study tour outside state under Agriculture Technology Management Agency Programme (ATMA).
The group was flagged off by District Development Commissioner Budgam Khurshid Ahmad on Tuesday.
The farmers shall visit to Punjab Agriculture University, Panth Nagar, Agriculture University Hisar, National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Indo-Israeal vegetable Project Karnal, Agri Department farms, Research stations, SKUAST Jammu, Horticulture Development Farm Ramban & other places during the tour.
Speaking on this occasion, the DDC advised the farmers to see for themselves the latest technology in the field of Agriculture, Allied Sectors & interact with Agri scientists and fellow farmers.
Chief Agriculture Officer Budgam Mushtaq Ahmad Parray said that objective of such tours is to make farmers aware about latest research in Agriculture and allied sectors.
