Centre approves Rs 356 cr for land acquisition in Dal

Srinagar, Jan 3: The Union government has approved a Rs 356 crore plan for land acquisition of the Dal Lake in Srinagar, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand said today.
“Rs 356 crore have been approved by the Government of India for the upgradation of Dal Lake," he said, chairing a high-level meeting of officers in Jammu to review the progress of different works and timely completion of various projects in the state.
He asked officers for early rehabilitation of Dal dwellers so that the upgradation and beautification work of Dal Lake is completed in a time-bound manner.
