JK starts campaign with win
NATIONAL SCHOOL GAMES- CRICKET
Srinagar, Jan 3: The JK Under-14 cricket team started its National School Games-Cricket campaign on winning note defeating Haryana by six wickets at New Delhi on Thursday.
Batting first, Haryana were bundled out for 101 runs. For JK Mujeeb was superb taking three wickets. In reply JK achieved required target for the loss of only four wickets. Meeran and Shahid scored 20 each for the JK. In its next match JK will lock horns with Chattisgarh on January 5.
“The eam is well balanced and players showed it in today’s match by excelling in both batting and bowling,” said team coach Zahoor Ahmad Rather.
