Make roads safe: DDC
Traffic week
Islamabad (Anantnag), Jan 3: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag Farooq Ahmad Shah on Thursday requested civil society, media, students, drivers and transporters to play their role in making the roads safe.
Speaking at a function organized in connection with the traffic week here in south Kashmir, Shah stressed on the need to evolve a long term multipronged strategy to reduce the frequency of accidents in the state and particularly in the Valley.
The DDC invited the general public at large to participate fully in awareness campaign for better traffic management. He later flagged off a rally of students and of the civil society members from degree college Khanabal to Mehndi Kadal.
