NC committed to equitable development of JK: Rana

GK NEWS NETWORK

Jammu Jan 3: Chief Minister’s Political Advisor Devender Singh Rana on Wednesday said that the four years of the Omar led coalition government had ushered the state in an era of peace, progress and prosperity resulting in unprecedented, overall, all round development which is unparallel in the history of the state.
“Omar led government has brought in economic resurgence and opened new vistas of employment opportunities for the unemployed,” Rana said while addressing a function organized by National Conference Students Union (NCSU) at Jammu University where he released a compendium of achievements of Omar’s government prepared by NCSU.
He said that National Conference is committed to the equitable development of all the three regions of the state and the state coalition government under the leadership of Omar Abdullah is translating this into reality by launching multifaceted development policies the results of which are visible on ground.
Rana said NC is the party of common masses and no one can damage its popular base spread across the state. “Propagandist elements and detractors of democratic process have always tried their best to defame and damage NC but people of the state have foiled all such attempts showing their faith and utmost trust in the party National and its leadership,” Rana added.
He said, “History is testimony to the strong secular-democratic credentials of National Conference and the sacrifices it has made to uphold the cause of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity are glaring.”
Rana said the history of democratic Jammu and Kashmir state is incomplete without NC as this party represents the aspirations of common people from all regions and sub-regions of the state.
Asking NCSU activists to work together in bringing about permanent peace, stability and prosperity in the state, Rana said that Omar-led coalition government has initiated new and innovative measures to reach out to people in all areas in the state ensuring holistic and equitable development. “You should join hands in making development programmes a success”, he said adding that the unity is key to achieve progressive and peaceful Jammu and Kashmir.
