Shah, ors arrested near Pulwama
Srinagar, Jan 3: Police on Thursday arrested the Democratic Freedom Party chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah near Zanipora along with Moulvi Bashir Ahmad, Ghulam Muhammad and another members of DFP in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, a DFP spokesman said.
He said Shah was on way to Noongiri and Armoola where he was scheduled to meet the victims injured in firing by the armed forces last week.
Prior to his arrest Shah addressed a public meeting at Handwoo, Shopian. Lashing out at the authorities, Shah alleged that the inquiry commissions were being formed only to pacify the tempers of people.
