Winter Games Association Holding AGM
Srinagar, Jan 3: The Winter Games Association of Jammu and Kashmir is holding its Annual General Meeting at Peer Zoo Srinagar on Friday.
The meeting to be held at 11 am will be presided over by its President and DDC Anantnag Farooq Shah. All the members and district units of the state are expected to attend the meeting, informed by General Secretary WGAJK Shabeer Ahmad Wani.
He further informed that the Winter Games Federation of India has entrusted us with the daunting responsibility of hosting the National Junior and Sub-Junior Alpine Ski Championship this winter. The main agenda of the meeting shall therefore be to find out possibility of hosting the said championship smoothly and successfully. The meeting will also prepare the annual winter sports calendar for the year 2013.
Mahmood Ahmad Shah, President, Srinagar Unit of the WGAJK said that his Unit is planning to undertake some ski-touring expeditions in Lidder valley, Sindh valley and Mount Mahadev in Spring this year under the auspices of WGAJK.
