Bhat, Bakshi to court arrest on Monday

Srinagar, Jan 5: As a part of its Jail Bharo Tehreek, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front acting Chairman Bashir Ahmed Bhat and senior leader Showkat Bakshi would court arrest on January 7, Monday, at Batalamoo here.
In a statement a JKLF spokesman said: “The second phase of Jail Bharo Tehreek will be held on January 7, Monday, after Zuhr prayers at Batamaloo Astan-i-Aalia Chowk here.  Front leaders, members, family members of detainees and relatives of martyrs would participate in the programme which will be led by Front acting chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Bhat.”
The spokesman alleged that those injured in forces action from 2008 to 2010 were being summoned to police stations every now and then and subjected tremendous harassment for no fault of theirs.  “After the High Court directed the police to submit the cases of those killed and injured in 2010, the police have now starting implicating the innocents, especially those injured, in different cases like charging them with attacking and attempting to snatch the weapons of  the forces.”
