JK qualifies for quarters

Srinagar, Jan 5: J&K Under-14 cricket team qualified for the quarterfinal of the ongoing National School Games for Under-14 cricket tournament, defeating Chattisgarh in its second group match by six wickets at New Delhi on Saturday.
Batting first JK posted a total of 139 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of four wickets. Shahid Rasool with 50 was highest scorer for them while as Dar Haseeb with 35 and Tehseen with 18 were other notable scorers.
In reply, Chattisgarh could manage only 89 runs only. Owais, Mujeeb and Zamin took two wickets each for JK. It is second consecutive win for JK in the event after having won their inaugural match against Haryana on January 2. With this win JK qualified for quarterfinal of the event.
