Journalist thrashed

This refers to a story by Imran Muzaffar Why I was beaten by cops? (GK city page Jan 4th). It is so unfortunate that the  so called upholders of the law took law into their own hands and thrashed Imran mercilessly. His `crime' was to tell the cops to be in a queue outside an ATM booth at Hazratbal? I have myself been thrashed by police a few months back as I raised my voice over misbehavior by a policeman posted at the main gate of a police station in the uptown area. This is horrible and such hooliganism must be stopped.
