Parvez, Ram Dayal need appreciation: Nehru
Srinagar, Jan 7: The former general secretary of the J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) ML Nehru has hailed the cricketers Parvez Rasool and Ram Dayal for their show in the recently concluded Ranji Trophy season.
“Selection of Parvez Rasool for the India-A team is a tribute to him as the same is a well deserved elevation in his cricket career. Rasool has brought appreciation for his self, his parent club as well as the J&K State. His selection is the result of his merit, grit and determination dedicated towards cricket which he has shown despite many negative factors presently existing in JKCA and its selection process. Had these negative factors not been there in JKCA, many more Parvez’s would have been produced during last few years,” Nehru said in a statement.
“We should also appreciate other cricketer Ram Dyal who has given very good performance in the recently concluded Ranji season,” he added.
