Srinagar, Jan 8: The Regional Transport Office Kashmir today launched an awareness drive by pasting stickers of fare on passenger vehicles.
 “In order to strictly implement the fare for the passengers, we on the direction of Minister for Transport, Qamar Ali Akhoon have started pasting stickers of fare list on every passenger vehicle so that passengers are aware of the rate which they have to pay according to distance traveled ,” RTO Kashmir , Muhammad Anees said.
 He further informed that the department has reiterated its earlier order of “reservation of eight seats for ladies and two for physically handicapped persons. He said the Physically challenged persons will be given 50 per cent rebate on fare.
 Anees appealed passengers that if they have any complaints regarding the behavior or overcharging by drivers or conductors, they should contact RTO office. “We will initiate against them,” he added.
