Hajiabad residents demand separate transformer
SRINAGAR, July 13: The residents of Hajiabad Bemina have appealed the Power Development Department (PDD) to install separate transformer in the area.
"Our area is purely resi¬dential having more than fifty household and is just two kilometers away from the City center, but the irony is that we are still without a transformer as our demand for the same has gone unheard," Haji Nazir Ahmad, a local said.
He and others said the concerned PDD officials have already recommended the need for the transformer adding that MLA Batamaloo also asked the DDC Srinagar to look into the matter.
"The MLA offered to bear half of the cost that will be incurred on —the installation of the transformer,” the residents claimed.
They appealed the Chief Engineer PDD Muhammad Muzaffar Mattoo to look into the matter.
