Special DG BSF conducts preliminary inquiry in Gool firing

Jammu, July 20: BSF Special Director General Dilip Trivedi today conducted preliminary inquiry into the Gool firing incident in which four persons were killed.
 Trivedi took ground reports after meeting civilian, police and BSF officials to ascertain the circumstances leading to the firing by Border Security Force personnel on July 18.
 The BSF Special DG visited the 76 Battalion belt area in Ramban and took statements of the BSF patrol party, officials said.
 Trivedi also spoke to police and civilian officers including Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of Ramban district over the incident before returning to Jammu.
 Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde had ordered an inquiry into the incident.
