Contractors Coordination Committee calls on CM
Srinagar, July 4: Jammu and Kashmir Contractors’ Central Coordination Committee led by Farooq Ahmad presented a memorandum to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah here today.
Minister for R&B, Abdul Majid Wani and Legislator Nasir Aslam Wani were present.
The Chief Minister assured the deputation that their genuine demands would be given due consideration, an official statement said.
The deputation raised the issue of double taxation. They also demanded review on e-tendering pattern and agreements being signed by the Works Department and the contractors.
Matters pertaining to release of liabilities were also discussed in the meeting besides other issues, the statement said.
