Guv, CM, Mufti ors greet people on Guru Hargobind's birth anniversary
Srinagar, July 4: Governor N N Vohra, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, PDP patron Mufti Muhammad Sayeed and others have greeted people on the birth anniversary of Guru Hargobindji.
In his message of felicitations, the Governor observed that Guru Hargobindji’s noble example of selfless service, based on high values of righteousness, truth and love, is more relevant today than at any time in the past.
The Governor prayed for the well-being of the people of the State.
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah in his greetings message said the State has rich tradition of celebrating holy occasions and festivals in amity and brotherhood. “This trait needs to be further strengthened”, he said.
Meanwhile, DPN President and Agriculture Minister Ghulam Hassan Mir and CPI (M) state secretary, M Y Tarigami also felicitated the Sikh community on the auspicious birth anniversary of Guru Hargobind Sing Ji.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) patron, Mufti Muhammad Sayeed and party president, Mehbooba Mufti in their message termed Guru Har Gobind Ji as an apostle of peace and tolerance and hoped the occasion would strengthen bonds of love, brotherhood and togetherness.
MLA Tral, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, youth leader Dr Shanti Singh and Sardar Nani Singh have also greeted people on this occasion.
