Kalantara reels under darkness
Kalantara (Baramulla), Mar 12: Inhabitants of Iqra Mohalla, Kalantara Payeen in this north Kashmir area are up in arms against the Power Development Department (PDD).
Residents told Greater Kashmir the transformer in their area developed a technical snag a month ago and it has not been repaired till date. “They (PDD officials) took the transformer for repairs and installed it after 15 days. Soon after it was reinstalled it developed another snag. Our area has been reeling under darkness for the past one month. We have been running from pillar to post to get the transformer repaired but no one has paid any heed towards getting the transformer repaired,” the residents said.
They urged the higher PDD officials to look into the matter.
