DFP flays Govt on Shah’s arrest

Srinagar, Mar 17: Democratic Freedom Party on Sunday criticized state government for stating that no PSA has been slapped against its chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah.A DFP spokesman said in a statement that Shah was illegally detained under sections 107 and 151 in Saddar Police Satation and was not produced before the magistrate.
 “If no PSA has been clamped against Shah why he was shifted to Jammu Jail. Government was aware about the ill health health and the treatment he needed. But government deliberately shifted him to Jammu under criminal conspiracy,” he said in the statement.
 DFP alleged that there was lawlessness in the Valley.
