Vodafone launches call centre in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 14: Vodafone, India’s leading telecommunications service provider, today announced the launch of its call centre in Kashmir.
The call centre set up at Rangreth, here, is already working for some time. However, the company today announced its formal launch.
The call centre has generated employment opportunities for locals. Pertinently, the call centre marks the shift of the facility from Chandigarh to J&K with the objective of establishing a physical customer care team within the state. The call centre executives are conversing with customers in local languages namely Kashmiri, Dogri apart from Hindi and English.
The facility provides customized, quick and effective solutions to customer query and presently handles 30,000 calls per day.
Apart from J&K, the call centre will also cater to the requirements of Vodafone customers in UP (East) and UP (West) circles.
It currently has staff strength of 351, largely comprising locals.
