Shabir Shah detained

Srinagar, May 17: Democratic Freedom Party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah was on Friday prevented by police and CRPF from going to Bandipora.
 According to DFP statement, Shabir Shah was to address a gathering in Badipora but was arrested by police while he was on his way and was bought back to the central office where he was put under house arrest.
 However, dozens of party workers managed to reach Bandipora along with Islamic Political party Chairman Muhammmad Yousuf Naqash and Muslim conference Chairman Shabir Ahmad Dar where they addressed the gathering.
