IGP Kashmir promotes 487 HCs


Srinagar, May 28: Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Abdul Ghani Mir on Tuesday ordered the promotion of 487 Head Constables to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspectors, a police spokesman said.
 In his message to the newly promoted officers, the IGP congratulated the officers and their families on their promotions and impressed upon them to work with more dedication and devotion for the welfare of the people.
 The IGP added that the promotions, besides, offering cheer to the officers also brings in more responsibilities on their shoulders and they should work tirelessly in meeting the expectations of the people and the department. 
 Pertinently, on 25 th April, 2013, 140 Assistant Sub-Inspectors were promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspectors.
