Economics & Statistics Officers constitute ad hoc body
Srinagar, Sep 6: Economics and Statistics Service (Gazetted) Officers have formed an ad hoc body.
The body was constituted at a meeting on Thursday at Directorate of Economics and Statistics Bemina here, in presence of Director General B.R. Lachotra.
The DG on the occasion highlighted various issues and problems faced by the cadre and assured that all efforts will be made to get such issues addressed.
“Till the elections to the Economics and Statistics Service (Gazetted) Officers’ Association are held, the adhoc body will work,” the association said in a statement.
Parvez Sajad Kakroo has been nominated as President of the ad hoc body.
It was decided that the body will meet on regular intervals to formalize the association and to take stock of issues/ problems of the cadre.
The members resolved that the body will take up the issues with the authorities concerned for redress.
Meanwhile, the members hailed the role of Ajay Sadhotra, Minister Planning “for his contribution towards the development of the State.”
