Police handout claims of April 7

Srinagar: Police today arrested a murder accused involved in the killing of then Vice Chancellor of Kashmir University Prof Masheer-ul-Haq. The accused was absconding since 6/04/1990.
 In a significant development, Srinagar police generated a specific intelligence regarding Hilal Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Naid Doori accused in the murder case of then Vice-Chancellor Kashmir University Prof Musheer-ul-Haq. The case was investigated by CBI. The accused was evading arrest and was declared an absconder in the murder case.
 On a specific information regarding his presence in the jurisdiction of Police Station Zadibal today, the accused was apprehended by Srinagar police.
