DLSA organizes seminar

Ganderbal, Oct 11: District Legal Service Authority Ganderbal organized a daylong seminar on protection of mentally retarded persons here on Thursday.
The program was presided over by Principal District and Session Judge Syed Tauqeer Ahmad.
He emphasized the need for protection of rights of physically challenged persons as enshrined in the Mentally Health Act.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Ganderbal Parvez Ahmad Kachroo highlighted the aims and objectives of the Act and stressed that the law should be implemented in letter and spirit so that physically challenged person gets an opportunity to live a respectable life.
On the occasion the Munsif Ganderbal Umi Kulsum stressed that mentally challenged people should not be discriminated.
