Srinagar, Dec 10: To mark the International Human Rights Day, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) today organized protest programmes in all its offices in various countries.
A JKLF spokesman said the biggest programme was held in Brussels under the leadership of Front chief patron Barrister Abdul Majid Tramboo.
“On the occasion Tramboo highlighted the alleged human rights abuses being committed by the armed forces in Jammu Kashmir for the past 64 years to suppress the ongoing freedom struggle. He said the accused forces take cover of draconian laws like AFSPA and PSA that are in vogue in J & K. Tramboo appealed the international human rights organizations to exert pressure on New Delhi to revoke these draconian laws and put an immediate end to the rights abuses in Kashmir,” the spokesman said.
Tramboo also condemned the life imprisonment recently awarded to the Kashmiri youth, he said.
