Three Kashmir-based handicraft export firms were honoured by Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts at New Delhi.
Srinagar-based Akbar Art Gallery bagged top export award for 2013-14 and 2014-15 for Papier Machie. The award was received by Parveez Ahmad Naqash at a function organized by Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts at New Delhi on Monday.
The other two Srinagar-based firms, Muzaffar and Co and Simeese Exports, received ‘certificate of merit’.
The Council distributed over 125 awards among the Indian exporters.
The awards were given away by Textile and Industries Minister, Simriti Irani, who was the chief guest at the function.
