J&K Graduate Electrical Engineers Association (JKGEEA) has expressed grave concern over the assignment of additional charge of Chief Engineer, Projects Wing Kashmir to Chief Engineer, System and Operation Wing Kashmir, calling it adhocism and stop gap culture that has plagued the vital department.
In an emergency meeting, held at Srinagar today, JKGEEA, according to a statement said, this this kind of system has been plaguing the department for more than 4 years.
“The present order has caused great dismay in the fraternity. This happened despite the matter having been raised by various MLAs and subsequently discussed in detail in the recent Assembly Session where it was assured that the vacancies would be filled very soon. Whereas targets are being fixed for the engineers at all levels be it rendering services, revenue realization, reduction in T&D losses or restoration of power system after snow damages, it seems that no targets are expected to be met by the Administrative Department,” the statement reads.
