Kashmir Economic Alliance (Dar faction) Friday held a protest demonstration against the decision of the government to implement Goods and Services Tax regime in the JK, stating that the implementation of one tax regime is direct attack on state’s special status.

Holding placards and shouting anti-GST slogans, the businessmen and traders assembled at Srinagar’s press enclave to lodge their protest against the implementation of the tax regime.

Acting chairman, KEA, Farooq Ahmad Dar said GST is a direct attack on fiscal autonomy of the Jammu and Kashmir.

“GST will take away our fiscal autonomy and will dilute the Special status of JK,” he said adding that “ PDP-BJP government is implementing agenda of the RSS  as they are hell bent to do away with Article 370 which gives JK special status in the country.”

“Unfortunately JK government instead of sabotaging the move of centre is encouraging them,” he said.
