Jammu and Kashmir: Four killed in road accident near Thathri in Doda

Reports said the accident took place on Cheerah- Thathri link road near Jangalwar village, seven km from Thathri town.

Four persons were killed after a vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near Jangalwar area of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

Reports said the accident took place on Cheerah- Thathri link road near Jangalwar village, seven km from Thathri town.

SDM Thathri Mohammad Anwar Banday said that a vehicle, bearing registration number JK06-3392, was on its way to Thathri from Cheerah village, when it rolled down into a 200 feet deep gorge.

All four persons on board were injured in the accident.

They were rushed to Emergency Hospital Thathri where doctors declared three of them as brought dead, while the fourth persons succumbed.

The deceased were identified as Altaf Hussain S/o Mohd Iqbal Naik, Yasir Ahmed S/o Abdul Rashid Butt, Touqeer Ahmed S/o Remtullah all residents of village Zanhari Teh, Thathri and Rashid Hussain S/o Munhwar Din R/o Rangola Thathri.
