Reacting to Army Chief Gen Rawat’s statement, Congress chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma today said “Kashmir is very sensitive and delicate issue and government should deal it with great care”.

“Kashmir is unlike other states and one has to be extra cautious in dealing with the situation. Intentionally or unintentionally we shouldn’t provide give leverage to the miscreants in exploiting common people of the Kashmir,” Sharma said.

“Youth in Kashmir should also understand that security forces are there for safety of common people and they should not try to create hurdles during counter insurgency operations,” he said 

However, BJP welcomed the statement of the Army chief saying “it will surely boost the morale of army personnel.”

 “It will surely boost the morale of soldiers who are guarding nation in extreme hostile situation. Army chief is absolutely right and lines have to be drawn defining the limits of restrain,” said senior BJP leader and Speaker Kavinder Gupta.

“People who hatch conspiracy against nation are anti-national and they should be dealt strongly. Kashmiri people should understand India is their own country heading to become world power. Pakistan on the other hand is struggling for its own survival and will implode with its internal conflicts,” Gupta said.
