5.6-magnitude earthquake jolts Kashmir

A strong earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted Kashmir valley on Tuesday night.

The earthquake struck southwestern Kashmir at 10:17 PM local time, reported EMSC.

   

The depth of the quake, according to EMSC, was40 km.

It struck 110 km northwest of Srinagar and 72 km north west of Bandipora.

There was no immediate report of any loss of life or damage to property.
