Budgam school in soup for ‘ill treating’ a child

However, the school management denied the allegations saying the said parent had behaved rudely with the staff members.

Education department has sought an explanation from a private school for allegedly ill treating a child.

The explanation letter from the Chief Education Officer Budgam through its monitoring wing was slapped on the Principal of a private school in Khag zone. The letter copy of which is with this newspaper reads,  " Strong note has been taken of the complaint by a parent Bilal Ahmad regarding ill treatment of his ward by your staff which is sheer violation of the Child Protection Act/ Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children)." 

The letter states that there are number of other such complaints regarding “barbaric attitude” of the school administration were received earlier also. The administration of the school is directed to explain its position along with all the relevant records on November  21, 2017 by 11am.
