4 TOURISTS INJURED IN ACCIDENT

CRPF vehicle hits auto carrying them

Srinagar, Nov 11 : Four tourists and an auto driver were seriously injured when a CRPF vehicle hit the auto near Sangarmal crossing near Polo View in Srinagar on Sunday evening.
 Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Munawarabad, Srinagr , an auto driver, was ferrying four tourists including two men and two women at around 5.30 pm. “When we reached Sangarmal crossing, a CRPF vehicle hit the auto badly,” said Ahmed, who himself got injured in the incident and was shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment by his family members. “The vehicle that hit the auto belonged to CRPF,” said a family member of Bhat.
 “I don’t what happened to the tourists,” said Ahmed. He said his auto bearing number CHASIS 11051-407 were lying on the road side in a bad shape. Station House Officer, Kothibagh Police Station, Zafar Nawaz Rather confirmed that the accident took place in the evening between a security vehicle and an auto. “Five people including four tourists and the auto driver got injured in the mishap. All of them have been shifted to the hospital,” he said. “It is not clear yet, whether the vehicle belonged to CRPF. We are investigating the case.”
 He said the auto was in a very bad shape. “We are ascertaining the antecedents of injured tourists,” the police officer said.
