Kashmir: Four civilians, two cops injured in Sopore grenade blast

Reports said that grenade was hurled at the CRPF camp near a bank in Sopore which missed the target and exploded on the road, resulting in injuries to four civilians and two cops.

Kashmir: Four civilians, two cops injured in Sopore grenade blast

Four civilians and two policemen were wounded in a grenade blast in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.

Reports said that grenade was hurled at the CRPF camp near a bank in Sopore which missed the target and exploded on the road, resulting in injuries to four civilians and two cops.

The injured were shifted to Sub-District Hospital Sopore for treatment where the condition of all of them is stated to be stable.

The injured civilians were identified as Bashir Ahmad Shah, son of Haji Ghulam Mohiudin of Badam Bagh Sopore, Aamir Sofi, son of Mohammad Amin of Baghat Sopore, Nazir Ahmad Teli, son of Ghulam Ahmad of Arampora Sopore and Aaqib Bashir Lone, son of Bashir Ahmad of Botingoo Sopore. 

The injured policemen were identified as SPO Aaqib, Belt no.268 and SPO Shabir Ahmed, Belt no.136.
