Missing Bandipora teacher found dead, body recovered from Wular lake

A teacher who went missing after he left for his duty lastweek in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district was found dead on Monday.

An official said that the body of Mushtaq Ahmad Lone ofSheikhpora locality of Mantrigram village was recovered in the morning fromWular lake in Laharwalapora village.

   

He said that his body was spotted in the Wular Lake bylocals of Laharwalpora and they informed the police.

“The body was taken to district hospital Bandipora forpostmortem. He was identified by his brother and his relatives in the hospital,” the official said.

Mushtaq had gone missing on May 13 when he had left fromhome to attend his duty at government high secondary school Chuntimulla wherehe was posted as a teacher.

On May 18, family members and locals of Mantrigam village held a protest demonstration to seek his whereabouts.
